The Mediterranean Center of Studies and Education Giorgio La Pira of Pozzallo was born from the collaboration between Fo.Co., Fondazione Migrantes and Fondazione Giorgio La Pira Firenze.

The aim of the Mediterranean Centre is to train social and institutional actors in order to improve the conditions of hospitality and integration of unaccompanied foreign minors, refugees and asylum seekers.

The Centre will then take over the functions of Observatory and Centre for Migration Studies and the system for the hospitality of migrants (adults and minors) at the service of local and national institutions.

Inside the Centre will also be activated a Service of listening and legal advice for unaccompanied foreign minors and for associations engaged in the defense and protection of the rights of foreign minors.
